MH Wood serving trays in three nesting sizes

MH Wood

Wood serving boards, trays and risers made by hand in Ohio for restaurants, hotels and bars. Stocked pieces ship in 5 to 7 business days, and we make custom sizes and finishes to order.

Made by hand in Ohio

Every MH Wood piece is made and finished by hand in Ohio, in oak. MH Wood is sold by the piece and ships in 5 to 7 business days.

Ideal uses

Serving boards and trays for shared plates, bread and charcuterie. Flight trays for tastings. Risers for buffets and displays. Flatware caddies for room service, buffets and communal tables.

Custom pieces

We make custom sizes, species and shapes to order.

Any piece can be laser engraved with your logo, a saying or custom text, in an area up to about 4 by 4 inches. Engraving takes 1 to 2 weeks. Contact us for pricing.

Exposed grain and honest joinery

We leave the grain of the oak in view and keep the joinery simple and visible. Because every piece is made by hand, grain and color vary from one piece to the next.

Simple rectangular forms

Trays, boards and risers are built as plain rectangles that sit square on the table and line up neatly on a buffet. The simple shapes keep the attention on the food and the plates.

Cutout handles rather than hardware

Handles are cut into the wood itself rather than added as metal hardware, so there is nothing to loosen or rust and each piece stays one solid form.

Pieces are sized to carry

Each piece is sized for real service. The flight tray holds three ramekins in a row, the paddle board carries two ramekins with room for bread, and the medium serving tray nests inside the large.

Raw Edge Stoneware

Matte stoneware and oak work well on the same table. The raw clay edge and the natural wood grain share the same muted palette.
